A Level ICT


 

‘AS and ‘A’ Level Information & Communication Technology

The A level ICT course is available for Year 12 pupils and is ideal for pupils who wish to continue their studies to degree level or use ICT in a wide variety of occupations such as:

  • Teaching
  • Accountancy
  • Engineering
  • Sales

Course Structure

This course follows on closely from the GCSE ICT course and will provide pupils with a variety of skills that will help them in many future careers.

Pupils can choose to study for an ‘AS’ level qualification for 1 year, or continue for 2 years and achieve an ‘A’ level in ICT. The course is modular and is assessed via exams and externally and internally marked coursework.
